Why Even Barbie Needs a Business BFF

As the world turns Barbie pink, here are five reasons why every woman in business needs an accountant and business BFF by her side.

It seems as if the entire world is having a Barbie pink fever dream right now. Maybe you’re a fan, or maybe you want to be as far away from it all as possible? Either way, we don’t blame you.

But regardless of your feelings on this cinematic Mattel-piece, we’ll tell you one thing that no one else seems to be asking right now: who is Barbie’s accountant?

Does she have one? If so, who are they? And if not, should we pitch ourselves?

In any case, here’s how that would go: five reasons why we think The Women’s Accountant would make a great business BFF for Barbie and her squad…

1. Women Supporting Women, obvs

They say the only two things certain in life are death and taxes. But we’d like to add a third: women supporting women.

Around here, these words are far more than a catchphrase — they are a way of doing business.

We are fierce advocates for women in business, and celebrate feats of entrepreneurialism on the daily. We know firsthand that anything feels possible when you have a community of badass women behind you, and Barbie is testament to that.

As one of only a tiny doll-sized handful of women-led niche accounting firms, we exist to support women to build a life (and business) of their dreams. We know Barbs is a big dreamer, and we want to help her — and all of her squad — to dream big and slay all day.

    2. More Than Your Ordinary Bean Counters

Over her 64 brilliant years, Barbie’s had over 200 careers. She’s run for President. She’s been to the moon. She’s competed in the Olympics. She’s well and truly smashed the plastic ceiling, and we love to see it. But there’s no secret that Barbs has also had her struggles.

This tells us two things: one — that she’s a woman of many talents; and two — that not even Barbie can do it all, and certainly not all at once.

Instead, what she needs is an accountant who is far more than an ordinary bean counter.

She needs both an accountant and a trusted business BFF who can help her in practical and profitable ways.

She needs someone who’s been there, done that and got the spreadsheets to prove it.

She needs someone who is willing to share their experiences, knowledge and skills generously and transparently.

And she needs someone who is there to support all aspects of her business, by giving her access to industry experts, not just the finance ones. To put it simply: she needs us, The Women’s Accountant.

      3. Vulnerability is Encouraged and Bravery is Celebrated

Seeing an accountant is kinda like seeing a gynaecologist, but for your books. It’s vulnerable as hell, it feels like your legs are akimbo, and you don’t want just anyone lifting up the ‘hood’. No, no, no.

You want someone who knows what they’re doing. Someone who knows what they’re looking for. And someone who’s not going to pull a fanny face when they see something that’s NQR.

Well, here’s something Barbie absolutely needs to know about The Women’s Accountant → we don’t throw stones from ivory towers. We are not here to judge her, or anybody else. We are here to help.

Mainly, that’s because we know what it’s like to be where business owners are right now, and we want to see women succeed. But it’s also because we’re bound by some pretty bloody strict confidentiality rules and practice standards.

An accountant who’s loose lipped ain’t long for this business world, so you can rest assured we will keep those lips sealed. Plus, because we’re women we also actually listen to what our clients’ want and create tailored packages to suit their needs.

      4. Guaranteed Hype Squad On Call

Now we know she’s made of plastic, and that’s probably not always fantastic. So, as women, sisters, mothers, and BFFs — we know you gotta have your gals. It’s hard to put a price on the value of trusted advisors and people who aren’t afraid to tell you like it is but in a way that doesn’t make you want to cry.

With our signature straight-shooting style, we strive to be every business woman’s hype squad on call. And just like a bestie, we will also be there as a shoulder to cry on, someone to remind you why you started in the first place, and there to give you a (not so) gentle kick up the bum if you need it.

And you can bet Barbie’s flat ass that we will be there every step of the way to help her, or anybody else, build the business of her damn dreams with freedom as the bottom line.

      5. Certified Non-Boring, Because ‘Gals’ Just Wanna Have Fun

Business ain’t all pink plastic dreamhouses, that’s for sure. But who says it has to be boring? Out of all people, we know Barbie likes to have fun. The good news is: we do too. Because otherwise, what’s the point?

We want to get women excited about their business, and dreaming up possibilities for a more free and independent life. That means we don’t take ourselves too seriously and we find ways to inject maximum personality into our business, and into yours (if that’s your thing).

The way we see it: life is too short, and having fun in business doesn’t mean you can’t also be successful and profitable and make a lasting impact.

        So, whaddya say?

Do you think we would have secured the signature of a Ms. Barbara Millicent Roberts? We sure hope so, because every business woman needs a BFF.

By the way, you don’t have to be Barbie, love pink, or wear high heels to work with us. You just have to be curious enough to see what difference a business BFF can make. Want to give it a try?
